Day 9- Free People Free Others

LeAnna Azzolini Season 2 Episode 78

Send us a text

Welcome to DAY NINE of our new 30-day COMMUNITY PROJECT where we make something with our hands every day to improve our mental health. We all realize that creativity heals...it's time to put that knowledge into action.

I'm going to publish an episode for you to follow along with several days of each week (I'll take breaks on Fridays and weekends in order to give you time to catch up as needed). These episodes will exist here, marked with the days numbered, in order for you to follow along at any speed that you like. Miss a day? Doesn't matter. Just pick up right where you left off and keep making things. These episodes will give us all some accountability, but if you need more, pair up with a partner. It really does help!

Join our creative community by making something today, whether it's for five minutes or several hours—your brain will thank you. Let's do this thing together and turn all of this sh*t into something beautiful!

Speaker 1:

Hurt people hurt others, but, luckily, healed people heal others. Safe people shelter others. Free spirits free others. Enlightened people illuminate others, and love always wins. So shine your light of love on all who may cross your path in life, because what you do matters. Love on all who may cross your path in life, because what you do matters.

Speaker 1:

For today's project I'm taking some white self-drying clay and going to just like hand form little bowls, like the kind of little bowls that you can make for rings or necklaces, kind of form that with my hands smooth it out, then use watercolors to color it. And then I also have some dried flowers that I've collected from when we've camped and I'm going to. While the clay is still wet, it dries pretty quick. So while it's wet I'm going to take those dried flowers and stick it at the bottom of the little bowl and kind of decorate the bottom. Then we're going to let that dry and after that's dry we're going to apply some clear sealant on it. And you can get all of this at a little craft store.

Speaker 1:

So I'm doing air dry clay in white so that it can be decorated and painted, and you can paint it while it's still wet, which is the really good thing with the air dry clay, Then the clear sealant that is. I don't remember the name of it, but you can look it up very easily. All in all, it will take maybe, I think, two, three days for it to all dry, but I've done this in the past and it's really fun and very cute. And that's it. Today's episode is super short and sweet. Hopefully you're getting some good ideas of things that might interest you and until tomorrow, stay curious.
